Celebrating 9 Years!

Celebrating 9 Years!

Each Memorial Day we celebrate The Spice Tin anniversary, the start of summer vacations and men/women lost in military service.  This year represents The Spice Tin’s ninth year!  Jan always sets up his small Webber out front to grill chicken wings to share with our customers along with suggestions and grilling advise.

Early morning set up.

Lydia & Katie were in the shop when we opened in 2009! And they came back for 2018 celebration.

This year we decided to honor and support Vietnam vet Rick Ryan, The Walking Man of Murphys, and UCLA Operation Mend whose motto is “…heal humankind, one wounded warrior at a time …” . On Saturday May 26, we dedicated a percentage of sales to Operation Mend.  In addition to the generous donations to Rick’s Operation Mend can, The Spice Tin  gave a check for $287.00 to the cause.  And we were lucky to host the band, Roda de Choro who performed in the courtyard.  Many thanks to Rick, Roda de Choro musicians and those who stopped by to enjoy the festivities.
