Tamari Turmeric Almonds

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cup raw almonds
  • 1/3 cup Tamari Sauce
  • 2- 3 teaspoons Turmeric
  • 1/2 ground black pepper
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place alomond on cookie sheet, spread out in one layer. Heat for 5 minutes

Meanwhile mix the next four ingredients in a bowl large enough to hold all the almonds.

Toss warmed almonds in the mixture making sure all are covered. Leave in bowl for about 2 minutes stirring occasionally to cover completely.

Spread almond mixture back on baking sheet.

Place back in 350 degree oven but turn the oven off. Leave almonds to heat for 20 minutes.

Cool to room temperature and serve.

Notes: This is a very healthy snack.

The combination of Turmeric and Black Pepper is great as an anti-inflammatory.
